Everything you need to know about the Mobil3 hackathon

The Mobil3 Hackathon will take place in Mexico City from August 20th to August 24th, 2025. The main venue is Publi.co Reforma, located at Av. P.º de la Reforma 333, Cuauhtémoc, 06500 Ciudad de México, CDMX. The event includes two days of co-working and workshops (August 20-21) and a 72-hour hackathon (August 22-24).

Participation in the hackathon is free for all selected participants. This includes access to the venue, workshops, mentorship, and catering during the event.

We're calling on builders and innovators across Latin America! The event is primarily for developers, students, artists, and crypto enthusiasts. We prioritize experienced developers and those focused on creating real-world, user-friendly solutions on the Monad blockchain.

While developers with experience in EVM-compatible ecosystems are highly encouraged to apply, we welcome builders of all levels. We will provide a series of workshops and have expert mentors on-site to help you get up to speed and build on Monad.

All projects must be built on the Monad blockchain. The hackathon is focused on creating mobile-first crypto applications. We encourage you to explore the three main tracks: Payments, Consumer Fintech, and Existing Projects. There is also an online-only track for existing projects that integrate with Monad.

Yes! For selected on-site participants, we will provide 6 nights of accommodation at a dedicated "Hacker House." This includes snacks, refreshments, and transportation to the main venue.

There is a prize pool targeted at $90,000 USD in cash awards. In addition, winners from each on-site track will be invited to apply for the next Monad Builder Residency in NYC. If their application is accepted, they will receive a fully sponsored, 1-week residency (subject to program criteria and availability).

Yes. While the main event is in-person, remote participation is available exclusively for the "Integrations for LatAm" track. This is for teams with existing projects looking to build on or integrate with the Monad ecosystem.

Participants will have access to on-site support from Mobil3 staff, technical mentors from our Developer Guild partners, and the Monad Foundation team. We will also host a series of workshops and provide a "Hacker Pack" with perks and credits from our partners.
